Hi, I’m Sara Ruth (yes, two names, sorry.) I’m an actor (obviously), stand up comedian, improviser, and writer. Like Beyonce and Meg Thee Stallion before me, I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I moved to New York City at 18 to the acting conservatory at Brooklyn College which, not to brag, only accepts 11 students a year. After a summer studying Irish theater in Ireland (duh), I graduated from the honor’s college with a BFA in acting and a minor in film production. Some of my proudest achievements since have been performing the new play “Woe is Me” at the Public gosh darn Theater (I got food poisoning on stage closing night but that’s a story for another time), and writing and starring in my short film “Untidy”. You may have also seen me on your TV in commercials for IBM, ESPN, Cayman Jacks, or UBER to name a few.

You can also catch me improvising with my indie team Soulpatch, or performing stand up all around town. When I’m not doing all of the above, I’m probably nose deep in a book about a niche period of history, which I’m a complete freak for.
